Free tickets + expensive parking + hot sun + picnic lunch + roller coasters = good times.
We made our annual trek to the amusement park this summer . . .

Just to hang out with Scooby Doo . . .
He's our hero. He bumbles and goofs his way through life - and always comes out on top in the end - looking like he planned it all along.
And Carra can make the same face . . .
The goal of the day is to survive the Giant Drop . . . cuz Brice talks about it all.year.long.
He literally makes himself sick with anticipation. That's entertainment all by itself - and a lot of stopping by the restrooms . . .
I tried the Giant Drop this year. It's giant. It drops. I scream.
Awesome.
Mikayla's 14 - she's such a good sport to pose with a goofy dog . . . for a goofy mom. I'm a-thinkin' this is the last time though. . .
Carra loves, loves, loves the Whirligig - the giant swing that spins around and around. She'd still be on it if we didn't threaten her that she'd have to walk home. It's as close as she's ever come to flying. She lives her dream up there. . .
Owen. He's not afraid of anything. He's just too short. Every year he creeps closer and closer to that coveted height and gets to try a bigger ride every year. Of course, they are "Totally awesome!" with each one becoming "So much more awesomer" than the last one. I hope the trend doesn't continue when he discovers girls . . .
I am so glad we are successfully raising roller coaster kids. I can forever rest assured that my parenting accomplished something . . . They'll probably end up living in my basement when they're 40, but I will sleep at night because they're not afraid of long falls and fast rides.
At the end of the day, we always come home tired and stuffed with cotton candy (that takes a lot of cotton candy by the way - and quite an accomplishment when we're sharing with Carra).
Happy Sticky Memories.
