Summer . . . pt 1 . . .

Summer. It's almost over - at least the lazy part is.

We were busy enough.  We never did go anywhere, but we found plenty to do close to home . . .

As a general rule, I don't pack my camera when I go out. I pack a stroller, water bottles, a diaper bag, a car seat, snacks, five kids and my sanity (a.k.a. My Husband).

He brings along his really cool Iphone (a.k.a. His Brain, or, on really bad days, His Other Wife) loaded with some cool photo apps upon request (by me, a.k.a. His First Wife, or, on really good days, His Favorite).

First up - our trips to the fairs (county fair & then the state fair). It was also my first time using the phone and apps. That basically means I didn't know what I was doing and therefore deleted all the photos of Brice.

It's a good thing he has a memorable personality.

So, cue the country music . . .

You can even line dance if you'd like . . . I promise I won't laugh.

Can you sing along? "She thinks my tractor's sexy."

Cream puffs . . .

Amazingly - Carra didn't like the cream. Carra. The child who thinks powdered sugar is a snack food and gum is a necessity for survival. (Her t-shirt actually says - "I Want Candy." Irony.)

As you can see, she suffered through the entire ordeal.

This year I sampled goat milk caramels, maple root beer and maple cotton candy . . . all of them made the redo list for 2012. They may even get added to the fair requirement list of gyros and cheese curds - deep fried, of course.

I love the fair.

So did anybody else go? I really want to know if anyone tried the deep fried butter . . .

More summer fun to come . . .

Deep fried butter sounds gross to me, but I was really tempted to try the deep fried snicker bar!
The fair is so awesome! Glad you all had fun. :)
